Ski in Slovakia
Slovakia, officially the Slovak Republic, was once part of Czechoslovakia. A 20th century state created at the end of World War I, Czechoslovakia split into two separate countries (the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic) on January 1, 1993.
Slovakia as a new winter destination is a fantastic site for skiing & snowboarding, providing wide area of ski resorts. The Slovak Republic is an ideal place for winter sport lovers. Almost all mountains are suitable (and most of them properly equipped) for skiing & snowboarding.
